Rachel Skelton, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

A warm, honest space to work through what feels heavy

Rachel works with teens, young adults, and women who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship stress, family conflict, or the general weight of life. She knows that reaching out for therapy can feel scary and intimidating, and she works hard to create a space that feels warm, honest, and easy to settle into.

Rachel takes a collaborative, down-to-earth approach to therapy. She believes that trust is built over time through honesty, mutual respect, and showing up as your real self. Her style is understanding, realistic, and supportive—with room for humor along the way, because healing doesn’t always have to be heavy.

With experience helping clients work through trauma and other difficult life stressors, Rachel supports people in making sense of what they’ve been through, building healthier coping skills, and moving toward the strongest, healthiest version of themselves. She is especially gifted at helping teens and young women feel comfortable enough to open up and talk about what’s really going on.

Rachel’s office also includes her emotional support dog, Mila, who may occasionally join sessions from the comfort of Rachel’s lap.
