Licensed Professional Counselor | School Psychologist
Helping teens, young adults, and women feel more steady and in control
Karyn works with adolescents, young adults, and women who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in difficult patterns, or unsure how to move forward through life transitions. Many of her clients struggle with panic, stress, relationship challenges, or the lingering impact of trauma and grief—and are looking for both support and practical tools to feel more in control of their lives.
With extensive experience working in the school system, Karyn has a deep understanding of the pressures teens face today, as well as the challenges young adults encounter as they navigate independence, identity, and relationships. She also works with midlife women who are adjusting to changing roles, expectations, and life transitions.
Karyn creates a warm, supportive space where clients can be open and honest, while also learning concrete skills to make meaningful changes. Her approach blends conversation with active, skill-based work and is grounded in DBT-informed strategies that help clients manage intense emotions, navigate relationships more effectively, and build healthier patterns over time.
She often incorporates mindfulness, problem-solving, role-playing, and between-session practice so clients can apply what they’re learning in real life—not just in session.
